Tower Hamlets Voluntary Sector Children and Youth Forum
The Voluntary Sector Children and Youth Forum (VSCYF) acts as a meeting point where staff from voluntary sector organisations providing services to children and young people can come together and exchange views and ideas.
The Forum also functions as an opportunity for Tower Hamlets Council representatives to attend and present information relating to the latest funding developments and other initiatives. By doing this, the Forum enables dialogue between the Council and voluntary sector agencies.
Tower Hamlets Council funds the Forum. This funding pays for a VSCYF Coordinator, whose job it is to organise the Forum and represent Forum members. Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets' role in relation to the VSCYF is to provide effective management support to the VSCYF Coordinator, which will enable them to service and support the Forum and related meetings. If you would like to know more about the Forum please contact Alex Nelson, VSCYF Coordinator, on 07517 518640, or by email [email protected]
Forum Meetings
The next VSCYF meeting will take place in January in person.
Forum meetings are held at least 5 times a year, currently on Zoom. There is usually an information share as well as liaison with statutory partners. Notes from previous forum meetings can be found in the Resources box below.
