Voluntary Sector Representation

VSCYF elects voluntary sector representatives to represent the voluntary sector on the Every Chance for Every Child Forum, and other steering and working groups supporting partnership working for children and young people’s wellbeing and safety and protection in Tower Hamlets.

What Voluntary Sector Representatives do:
• At meetings, represent the members of VSCYF and voluntary sector groups that work with children and youth in Tower Hamlets.
• Act as a conduit for information to and from VSCYF members and other partners.
• Take responsibility, through the VSCYF and its coordinator, to inform members and represent their responses and to develop partnerships.
• Work in partnership with steering group and board members/colleagues to develop the work of the board.
• Provide expertise and advice from a voluntary sector point of view.
All voluntary sector representatives receive regular training to assist them to perform in the role of representative.
If you are interested in being elected to become a voluntary sector representative, please contact the VSCYF Coordinator, Alex Nelson on 07517 518640 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
