Muslim Aid is a UK faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict, or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background.
The Community Fundraising Volunteer Officer is responsible for generating income from community sources (Mosques, Islamic institutes and organisations) in accordance with agreed targets. This role involves planning and executing events with these organisations to deliver on campaigns. A key part of this role will be to deploy volunteers in support of events and to maintain their interest in continuing to volunteer with Muslim Aid. The post holder will be expected to travel nationally, sometimes at short notice. There will also be a need to work evenings and weekends during peak periods due to the nature of the post. Osmani Trust is a youth and community organisation based in Tower Hamlets. The Trust offers a wide range of community, health and sporting initiatives tailored to the needs of the community.
The Executive Director (ED) will report to the Chair of the Board, and will have delegated accountability for the vision, strategic development and direction of Osmani Trust to ensure continued growth and success. The ED will lead and inspire the Senior Management Team to plan, monitor and deliver services effectively, whilst implementing the highest standards of governance.
